Our Heated Water Trough, version 12V/50W, is designed to be connected to either a 12V battery or a transformer, making it a good solution for paddocks that are far from power outlets. With a heating power of 50W, this version is especially suited for areas where winter temperatures rarely fall below minus 10-15°C.

The fact that the bottom and sides of the hot tub are well insulated means that ice rarely forms on the water even if the temperature drops slightly below freezing at night.

You can choose to supply the hot tub with power via a 12V transformer and a low-voltage cable. 12V transformers are rather affordable, especially if they can be placed indoors. Low-voltage cables are also significantly cheaper than 240V power cables.

If you choose to supply power via a battery, it will, depending on the battery capacity, be able to supply the hot tub with power for up to 2 days, even if the heat is on all the time.
